O Lord, how I long for a closer view,
For the things in eternity and of You,
I yearn to commune in Your presence,
Caught up in Your glory and imminence,
Your majesty to bask and to behold,
More revelations of You may unfold,
I won't be content to worship from afar,
Pushing to get glimpses into heaven ajar,
You are my obsession and my pursuit,
Without You I'm hopelessly destitute,
I press in hoping to get a closer view,
To continually discover more of You.
