There are those who constantly give. They tend to the needs of others. They sacrifice financially to help others. They give of their time to minister to other's needs. The continually look for ways to bless others. They put others before themselves. Whether it be driving someone to a doctor's appointment or just checking on a loved one not feeling well.
I have often been the recipient of givers' care. On several occasions I have been blessed by church member's who cut my hair for nothing. I have received free meals, love gifts, little gifts of appreciation, vehicles on a couple of occasions and help to purchase two different houses. All made possible by someone willing to give with no expectation in return. I do not take these people for granted and thank God for them. They have richly blessed me and my family.
There are those who serve their local church. They volunteer, cook, clean, mow, teach, organize, visit, plan, give financially and more. How often do such people get recognized for their service. I know such people do not want to draw attention to themselves. They do what they do for the Lord and not to be noticed by people.
Still, I want to say a huge thank you to all the givers. Those who give of themselves to minister to others. To wives and mothers. To fathers. To caregivers in the medical profession. To childcare workers. To law enforcement officers and fire fighters. To those who wait tables, repair vehicles, cut the grass, make music, preach, teach, comfort, console, lead, coach, protect in our military and so many others. Thank you for what you do. Thank you for the prayer warriors who stand in the gap for others. Thank you for those who serve quietly behind the scenes and to those who prefer it that way. They still give.
It is easy to take givers for granted. They give and seldom ask for anything in return. It might surprise you how much just saying thank you to the givers would mean to them. Just to notice their giving is reward in itself.
What givers in your life need to hear "thank you?" We do not have to wait until November 22 to do this. We can do it now. I hope you will take a few moments to reach out to someone just to let them know how much you appreciate them.
