A boy suffering from birth complications,
Saved by God for unknown explanations,
Growing up in abusive adult behavior,
A wounded young man needing a Savior,
A youth pastor, football game appointment,
A lost soul filled with life's disappointments,
A repentant prayer and dramatic conversion,
A welcomed deliverance from sin's diversion,
A Sunday night and God's clear invitation,
To preach the word for gospel transformation,
Why me, a nobody with so much history,
Why me, one so ordinary to tell His story,
I seek to live totally and fully surrendered,
For the Holy One who's still my defender.
