What do you need God to do for you right now? What is your greatest prayer request or perhaps requests? I am sure you have something. Something that weighs on your heart and mind. Something that is beyond your ability to fix, move, heal, change or restore.
It's easy to get lost in your own needs. Just for a second look up from your circumstances long enough to see the needs of others. Needs are everywhere. Some face their own mortality. Some helplessly watch their loved ones suffer. Others long to see loved ones restored to right relationship with God. Some are crushed by financial stresses. Needs abound.
Some are in deep trouble. Without God's intervention they have no hope. You see the desperation in their eyes. You see their burdened soul in their countenance. They live with a sick feeling in their stomach. They see others rejoicing and living carefree lives but they struggle in their private pain. They are never far from tears and work hard to keep it all together to appear strong when inwardly they are weak.
I offer this simple scripture passage.
Hebrews 4:15-16 (NKJV)
15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Go to God in your time of need. He may not respond immediately as fast as you would like. He might delay on purpose. Let us come before Him with confidence in our time of need. Why? He hear us. He sees what we are going through. He knows all about it before we ever utter the first syllable of a prayer. He is strong enough to do something about it. He is more than able in our time of need.
